Got Wind and Water



is about connecting sailors of all levels of experience.
All means all, from a would be sailor who has never stepped aboard a sailboat (a Novice) to the Owner of a Racing Yacht of any size – and everyone in between. We connect our members with the resources they need to go sailing. We’ll turn the ‘Novice’ into ‘X-Novice’. They'll become sailors who have stepped aboard and can now say: “I went sailing and it was soooo much fun, I can’t wait to do it again”. Are you an experienced Sailor? Here you'll find boats to sail on, and boat Owners and charter Skippers to sail with and they'll find you.

Titles get assigned by the organizer, each title starts with one of four words: Novice, Sailor, Skipper or Owner. If you don't like your title, just email the organizer of the group and he'll change it for you. Titles are very important to the assistant organizers and the other members, they give them a 'thumbnail' sketch, in sailing terms, of who you are. We don't require that you include a photograph in your profile, but we do require that you answer some profile questions when you join. To understand how we assign titles, go here
