Announcing a new Meetup for Got Wind and Water . . .!
What: Berkeley Marina, to Clipper Cove on SV Loki, with Bruce When: Saturday, June 19, 2010 9:00 AM Where: Berkeley Marina 201 University Ave Berkeley, CA 94710 We are participating in the Summer Sailstice on Saturday. The boat is Loki, a Roberts 44, Skippered by Bruce. Meet Up Plan: We'll gather at the Berkeley Marina H-Dock gate. When the final RSVP list is created we'll exchange contact information ![]() We''ll need at least 'one experienced crew' member. Please sign up for the waiting list. We will put the crew together from the waiting list. When you join the waiting list be sure to fill out the comment section. Let me know there what your experience level is! None is required, but it's nice to know before hand- thanks! Sail Plan I'll be leaving the marina at 9:30 and we'll sail to Clipper Cove and if conditions allow, join the raft. When everyone has had their fill off the Clipper Cove / Summer Sailstice Festival, we'll leave and sail back. Don't make plans for that evening as we want to leave our cove departure time flexible. Probably staying later than other boats. WHO SHOULD ATTEND I'll take sailors with any level of experience. I'm happy to train novices and learn from more experienced sailors. All I ask is that at least one sailor be willing to help with the load. Everyone who wants to participate will have that opportunity. WHEN WE WILL MEET Meeting at the top of H-dock at 9:00 am sharp. Bring layered clothing and foulies/PFD if you have them. Expect everything from warm shorts/teeshirt weather to the usual summer fog and cold. Crew should have plenty of time to go ashore via water taxi (no charge for that service) to enjoy the Festival. We'll return to Berkeley, arriving at the dock before dark. I understand food will be available at the festival, but you should bring some snacks/drinks for yourself and some to share. I will provide water on the boat. Donations to the Got Wind and Water Fund when you RSVP are encouraged but not required. ADDITIONAL INFO Additional information can be found in the Summer Sailstice discussion forum.
