Introduction
Looking to continue sailing after taking the ASA Keelboat and Cruising Classes. I'd like to get more time on larger boats and learn more of their systems and maintenance. I've been out with GWAW, Afterguard Sailing Academy and Cal Sailing Club.
How would you describe your sailing experience? At the end of your description include a title for yourself (look at other profiles, or the about page for ideas)
Experience level: moderate. I've only been sailing since June, but have been out on the water about 30 days between then and Dec. I live right next to Marina Village Harbor in Alameda. If you need a hand I'd love to help if your boat is stored there.
What type boats have you sailed on - or dream of sailing on? What sort of sailing do you do? Cruising, racing, beercans, YRA . . . Transpac??
I've sail 3 types of Dingys and I've skippered keelboats anywhere from 23 ft up to 40 ft. Both inboard and outboard. Cruising and racing on all of the above types. All sailing in the SF bay. I teach dingy sailing at Cal Sailing Club when I can.
If you are a private boat owner -- please describe your vessel in as much detail as you can.
I don't own a boat....yet. Though I currently live on a nice Irwin 34 that has no mast.
Do you have any US sailing or ASA certificates? Do you bareboat charter?
Yes, ASA 101 and 103, Basic Keelboat and Basic Coastal Cruising. Looking to do 104, Bareboat Chartering, when I get a chance.
Are you disabled or have limited mobility? You'll be welcomed, but it's very important for skippers to know ahead of time to keep everyone safe while sailing (you included).
No, fully able to hop around a boat
