Come out and join Ay Caliente for a casual sail around the Bay before we all head back to work on Monday. We will be leaving RYC at 12:00 and returning around 4:30. Feel free to bring snacks and something for the grill when we return to the docks.
I'd like to meet sailors who may be interested in sailing in the 36.7 fleet...
“ What a great day...plenty of wind...good friends....great BBQ. We started out on a nice reach out of RYC to Pier 39 for more crew pick up. The wind piped up to around 20 kts and it felt a lot like summer. After Pier 39 we took a trip around Treasure Island and a close reach back to RYC. We heated up the grill for some great BBQ...thanks to Brendan for manning the grill!
As usual I can't wait to do it all over again!!! ”
“ It felt a typical summer day, just colder, with the wind coming from a funny direction. We enjoyed 14-21 knot winds coming from the North, shifting to the North East later in the day. Set sail from Richmond Yacht Club and headed down wind to Pier 39 to pick up some friends. From there, continued South to sail around Yerba Buena Island, threading the piers of both old and new bay bridge spans before tacking to starboard. One long tack against an ebb tide brought us back to the Richmond Inner Harbor A fantastic day sailing a great boat with wonderful people. A typical winter day . . . once you realize there is no such thing. ”
