Herb Potter wants to take Kira out for a light air romp before he heads off to Florida/Bermuda for the month of January.

We are leaving from the San Francisco Yacht Club in the late morning. Sailflow is forecasting light winds, 8-12 knots from the north at Harding Rock Buoy.

This is not an 'open' event. A certain number of Got Wind and Water members have been invited, and we are keeping the crew number limited to 4 total.

If you are interested in this please RSVP on the waiting list. It's unlikely you'll get to go, but your signing up helps us identify you as interested in future events.

Email me your contact info, - email address and cell phone number.

Thanks,

John

It looks like Christmas is truly over. We did not get clear skies and a fair wind for the day after. Oh well. I'm going to leave this event up anyway and we'll see what happens.

Well, sailing took a back seat to a good lunch at a nice Yacht Club. I helped Herb lower the jib and put it away, coiled the jib sheets and figure out how to suck the water out of the ice box . . . with a hose connected to the bilge pump! We then headed for the Yacht Club and a very interesting lunch listening to Herb's descriptions of his travels. Ok, so I would have rather gone sailing, but I got to know Herb better and that was a good thing.
