Hello!

Join us for a relaxing day on the Bay with a stop at Ayala Cove Sunday December 20.

We will be departing from Embarcadero Cove, Oakland at 9 AM on "Echo", a Stephhens 38 "Farallone Clipper".

There is no charge for this event but the crew will cover the dock/mooring fee at Angel Island ($10). There is room for four to five. Novice Sailors willing to learn and participate in sailing the boat are welcome.

This will be a relaxed daysail in the Bay with a stop at Ayala Cove, on Angel Island. We should be leaving early enough to get a slip at Ayala Cove, or at least a mooring (they are first-come-first-serve). We will spend the afternoon at Angel Island with the rest of the "Winter Sailstice" group prior to returning to Oakland. I plan to be back in Oakland around Sunset.

Meet at Embarcadero Cove near Quinn's Lighthouse at 8:30am so we can get gear and provisions stowed and have a brief orientation about sailing the boat. We will get under way at 9:00 AM.

Please bring lunch, snacks, and a beverage of your choice for yourself, or to share. Be sure to wear non-marking deck shoes and bring warm clothing (the usual layers, foulies, gloves, and PFD. if you have them).

When you RSVP here, please go back and change your RSVP for the 'main event' to 'No'. Add a comment saying "I'm sailing with Jack".

Email me with any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Jack

What an absolutely perfect day. Skipper Jack and First Mate Richards were great teachers and really shared their love of sailing to a novice sailor. Great crew.It was fun to meet other water-loving souls for a casual BBQ. Looking forward to the next meetup. Thanks for all the effort to coordinate!
