I've reserved the J109 'Knots^2' for the Winter Sailstice event.

I'll be leaving the Berkeley Marina at 10 am (you need to arrive by 9 to help with the boat). The cost of the charter will be shared by the people who RSVP.

I'm assuming we'll have 6 people on board, so the cost to sail with me will be $395, plus some fees, split 6 ways, or $70 per person, payable at the time you RSVP. When you RSVP here, please go back and change your RSVP for the 'main event' to 'No'. Add a comment saying "I'm sailing with John".

I'll pay the Ayala Cove docking fee out of my pocket, and you should plan to bring a snack to share with the crew.

As we get closer to the event, we'll work out some of the other details.

A Barbecue might be part of the onshore festivities, and I'll let you know as this gets worked out.

If you've never sailed with me before, please, please, send me an email when you RSVP and include your full name and provide a cell phone number - I need this for the charter paperwork.

See you at the Sailstice!

A Note to the Assistant Organizers organizing the other boats going to the Sailstice - you can use this J109 event as a template for your boat's event. We'll ask participants to shift their RSVP from the 'Main Event' page to the individual event pages as they sign on to the participating boats.

A wonderful trip to Angel Island and a terrific barbecue. A major rendezvous with about 12 other boats and over 50 people. Wow! A small group hiked up a hill to have a view of Sausalito and Tiburon. Great people, great event.

Great day on the water and enjoyed the bbq on Angel Island. Met some good people, a joy.

We motored our way over from OCSC to get to Ayala Cove as early as we could, enjoyed meeting and greeting everyone who arrived at the Winter Sailstice event. Had a great BBQ (Irenessa's tri-tips were wonderful). Basked in the sun, mingled with all the great people. The sky turned dark, but the clouds brought enough wind for us to sail. We headed towards the gate, set the spinnaker and worked our way down wind around Alcatraz, dodging tugs, barges, tankers and ferries as we headed home.
