It's the weekend of the longest day of the year, Let's Go SAILING.
Go to www.summersailstice.com for more information on what the Summer Sailstice weekend is all about.
As we count down to the Summer Sailstice, multiple events will be added to the Got Wind and Water site. Links to all those events will be found on this Main Page.
Click on the links at the bottom of each day to go to the individual boat event page to add yourself to the waiting list: Thursday THURSDAY?, Yeah, Thursday, I couldn't wait.
Kick off the Summer Sailstice weekend with Sunset Sail on Thursday.
Friday:
On Friday we will pre-position 'Anchor Boats' in the cove. This is the same cove we used for the Spring EquiSail event. The boats will be placed in the same location we used for the June 4th 'Boats and Beaches' Photo Shoot. They will act as anchors for the Got Wind and Water raft up on Saturday. Stay tuned, you'll have the opportunity to join a waiting list for the 'one-way' trip(s) getting those boats to the cove on Friday and the 'one-way' trip(s) as those boats return to their home port(s) on Saturday or Sunday.
Saturday:
See 2010 Summer Sailstice, San Francisco Festival. We'll work out how to get boats carrying Got Wind and Water members from all points of the San Francisco Bay Area to converge on Clipper Cove, anchor and raft up. Water Taxi service will be provided to get crew members ashore for the festival and other activities. One of these 'other' activities will be a combined event with Renegade Photo Shoot, organized by one of our members, Martha Blanchfield. We'll connect boats and photographers and models. While the details are being worked out, boat photo shoots, a beach landing and a beach photo shoot is in the works.
Private 'no fee' boats going to the cove on Saturday:

Assistant Organizers and Event Hosts are encouraged to post events on Got Wind and Water for Sunday. This might be a perfect day for a Sail to Angel Island and hike to the top. If you are an anchor boat for the raft and decide to spend Saturday night at clipper cove, your event might be the 'one-way' trip back to your home port.
