Last December a friend and I found ourselves sailing a J24 during the evening commute. It was my introduction to playing in Traffic during the ferry commute.

Jay Palace needs to move his J22 from Richmond to Sausalito Wednesday morning.
This is my opportunity to experience that again, but in the light of day. It promises to be a lot of fun.

Jay has suggested that since he and I have lots of experience between us with introducing people to sailing, we should open the sail up to a GOTWAW novice.

So here is the deal. If you joined GOTWAW because you wanted to sail, but have never sailed before, then put yourself on the waiting list. We'll select someone from this list to join us.

She drove 80% of the time we were sailing, learned how to head up and down, how to hold a course by sighting something on the horizon, how to make subtle tiller adjustments to correct her course, and a ton of other things as well. John was an excellent shipmate, taking over the helm when we had a jib block malfunction, and trimming both main and jib while Phyllis drove. I basically got to sit back and enjoy the cruise! I really appreciate the help getting Lost & Found from Richmond to Sausalito, and the opportunity to share sailing with new friends. ”
