“ It was a fabulous day and as Joe said at one point “we witnessed the four seasons” in one day.....some pictures are under the radiant summer sun and some under the cold foggy winter like day...some are clear and some blurry....Enjoy….Thanks Peter for another ordinary day in paradise ”
“ We started the day in really light winds and "San Diego-like" conditions, slowly tacking our way out of Emeryville toward Angel Island. By the time we got to Raccoon Strait, the wind had built up sufficiently for us to tack up through it, weaving in and out of many race boats and giving Mahasti a chance to take some pictures.
We then proceeded to sail through the slot. By that time the wind was over 20 knots and visibility was a few hundred feet (if that). We were able to sail right into the entrance of the Golden Gate Yacht Club, were we picked up Janet and sailed down the city front to Pier 1.5 for a much needed warm meal.
Afterward, we entered the fog again, sailing really fast with the ebb tide, then crossing the shipping lane as an outbound ship from Oakland was turning into it. We concluded with an on-board party featuring munchies, champagne, vodka shuts and an obscene amount of loud, hysterical laughter ... ”
